On Pilgrimage in Canada

Basilica of St Anne de Beaupre

Quebec, Canada

Dear Readers,

In the joy of this still Easter season I wanted you to know that I will be on pilgrimage with a group of parishioners beginning tomorrow and for the next twelve days.  Our journey takes us to eastern Canada where we'll visit shrines, enjoy the city life and beautiful countryside of our good neighbor to the north and the hospitality of the Canadian people.

We begin in Montreal for three days.  I look forward to the Oratory of St. Joseph high on Mount Royal in Montreal. St. Andre Bessette is buried there who had a unique and miraculous relationship with St. Joseph as a humble brother, the front door porter, in his monastery.  Hundreds of people came to him for counsel and many were miraculously healed through the intercession of St. Joseph, as St. Andre would constantly remind them. We'll celebrate Mass together on most days of the tour.

Yet, it's not all just prayer for as always we enjoy each other, take breaks in free time, share an adult beverage ( or two) together, share some great meals and beautiful hotels.  In the end, it's the total package for rest, renewal, and a spiritual boost for your faith.

We travel to Quebec, St. Anne de Beaupre, to Toronto and points in between, including a river boat cruise with dinner.  We end up two final days at Niagara Falls with the exciting ride to the foot of the falls in the "Maid of the mist." Get your rain coats and hats! So, it will be both relaxation, prayer, Mass most days, fun and bonding as disciples of the Lords.  Do pray for us as we will for you.  Back on May 30th.  Peace to all!

Fr. Tim
